Flora
Vegetation comprises of grassland, tropical deciduous and evergreen forest.
Elephant grasses, water lilies, water hyacinth and lotus doubles the beauty
of the park. Albizia procera, Duabanga grandiflora, Lagerstroemia speciosa,
Crateva unilocularis, Sterculia urens, Grewia serrulata, Mallotus
philippensis, Bridelia retusa, Aphania rubra, Leea indica, L. Umbraculifera,
Bombax ceiba, Dillenia indica, Careya arborea and Emblica officinalis are
the species of trees which are found here.
Fauna
One-horned Rhinos, Elephants and Wild Buffalos are the major attractions of
this National park. Leopards, Barasinghas, Pygmy Hog, Sloth Bears, Leopard
Cats, Chital, Para, Gibbons, Hog Deer, Barking Deer, Sambar,Capped Langur,
Rock Python, Monitor Lizards,Wild Boar, Jungle Cats, Otters, Hog Badgers,
Water buffalos, The Ganges Dolphins, Otters, Rock Pythons Turtles are the
major wildlife which can be seen in this park.
Avifauna

The
park boasts of housing 300 species of native and migratory bird. Some of the
migratory birds which can be commonly seen in the winter months are
Bar-Headed Goose, Ruddy Shelduck, Falcated Duck, Graylag Geese, Gadwall, and
Red-Crested Pochard. Other native birds which draws tourists to this park
are the Swamp Partridge, Red Junglefowl, Black Kite, Brahminy
Kite,White-cheeked Partridge, Blue-breasted Quail, Black-Shouldered Kite,
Fulvous Whistling-duck, Greater White-fronted Goose, Bar-headed Goose,
Himalayan Griffon, Grey-Headed Fishing Eagle, Grey Peacock Pheasant,
Pallas's Fishing Eagle, Rose-breasted Parakeet, Oriental Honey Buzzard and
White Tailed Eagle.
Major Attractions
Karbi Anglong
It is famous for coffee and rubber plantations. Visitors can also visit
Karbi village and interact with the villagers.
There are other places near the park which must be visited such as the tea
gardens of Hathkuli, Methoni, Behora, the Kakochang waterfalls, ruins in
Numaligarh and towers created by the forest department in Sohola, Mihimukh,
Kathpara, Foliamari and Harmoti to see the varied wildlife.
