Flora
The sanctuary is known for the dense forest comprising of diverse flora
consisting mainly of tall grasses and countless trees. Main vegatation found
here are Bamboo (Dendrocalamus Strictus), Salai (Boswellia Serrata), Bhirra
(Chloroxylon Sweitenia), Mango (Mangifera Indica), Dhaman (Grewia
Tilifolia), Jamun (Syzygium Cumini) ), Camar (Gmelina Arborea) etc.
Fauna
The sanctuary is well known for the varied fauna comprising of Nilgai,
Sambhar, Black bucks, Otter, Leopard cat, Fishing Cats, foxes, wild boar,
chinkara, chital, mongoose, jungle cat. Tourists can also see variety of
reptiles such as water snakes, turtles, tortoises, Planktons, rock pythons,
frogs, leeches, fishes and many more.
Avifauna

This
Bird sanctuary can be called as the bird paradise. More than 300 species of
native and migratory birds can be seen here. Siberian Crane is main the
attraction among the tourists. Common Demoiselle, Siberian Crane, Coot
Snipes, Spanish Sparrow, Red Crested Porhard, Rosy Pelican and Flamingo
Dalmatian pelicans, Siberian leaf warble, corcomorants, egrets, darters,
herons, storks, geese, ducks, eagles, hawks, shanks, stints, wagtails,
wheatears, flycatchers, buntings, larks, spoonbills, kingfishers, owls and
pipits can be seen here.

Bharatpur Government Museum
It is situated in the sanctuary and reflects the rich heritage of
Bharatpur.
Bharatpur Palace
This palace is known for the splendid amalgam of Mughal and Rajput
architecture.
Lohagarh Fort

This
fort is believed to have faced many attacks by the britishers but was
unconquered.
Deeg Palace
This palace served as the summer resort for the rulers of Bharatpur. It is
located 32 km away from Bharatpur and has palaces and gardens.
