India Heritage Temple Tour

Your journey begins in Delhi, city of eight dynasties, where you encounter at first hand India's Muslim and Sufi heritage. Then, from Amritsar, the sacred Sikh city in the Northwest, you journey along the line of the great river Ganga (Ganges), to the Buddhist shrines of Bodhgaya in the Eastern state of Bihar.

DESCRIPTION

Day 01 : Arrive – Delhi
On arrival at international airport you will be met by our representative, meet and transfer to Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi
Day for visit to temples, mosque and Chruch. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi – Amritsar
Visit the shrine of Sufi saint Nizamuddin Chisti. Late afternoon train to Amritsar, on arrival check in at Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 04 : Amritsar
Visit the spectacular Sikh Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of Sikhism, and the Jalianwala Bagh, where General Dyer massacred unarmed Indians in 1919.

Day 05 : Amritsar – Delhi - Mathura
Lord Krishna Temple, MathuraMorning transfer to train station for train to Delhi, on arrival  drive to Mathura, on arrival check in at Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 06 : Mathura – Agra
Morning visit to temples in Mathura and nearby Vrindaban, afternoon drive to Agra, on arrival check in Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel

Day 07 : Agra – Varanasi
Early morning visit Taj, afternoon transfer to airport for flight to onwards journey, on arrival at airport in Varanasi, on arrival transfer to hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 08 : Varanasi
Early morning transfer to Ghats for boat ride on the Ganges. Afternoon visit to Sarnath. Stay overnight at Hotel in Varanasi.

Day 09 : Varanasi – Bodhgaya
Drive or train to Bodhgaya. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 10 : Bodhgaya
Visit the Mahabodhi Temple and sit under the Bodhi tree of the Buddha's enlightenment. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 11 : Bodhgaya – Delhi
Day at leisure in Bodhgaya. Overnight air-conditioned sleeper train to Delhi.
Day 12 : Arrive Delhi / Depart Delhi
Day for shopping and sightseeing in Delhi, evening transfer to airport for flight to onwards journey.
