| The hill station is
known for its pristine beauty and is often called the 'Queen of Hill
Stations'. Situated at an altitude of 2000mtrs, this hill station was
discovered by a military officer Captain Young in 1827. Named after the
Mansur shrubs, the hillstation is recognised by majestic hills and its
diverse flora and fauna. One can have a wonderful view of the Himalayan
snow ranges and the Doon Valley from this hillstation. It is also home
to the renowned Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration
which train officers for the Indian Administrative Service and the
Indian Police Service. |
