Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour

Highlights
This journey shall take you to the sites like the place where tradition holds that Buddha set in motion his second Wheel of Law, peace pagoda – built by Buddha Sangha of Japan, place where Buddha preached his first sermon, Buddhas cremations place, Buddhas monasteries and temples and flourishing Buddhist University and Monastery, the birth place of lord Buddha, the Mahabodhi tree and temples and a lot more and Taj Mahal.

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
You are met and assisted with your baggage by our executive at the international airport and transferred to your pre booked hotel.

After lunch, guided tour of Old and New Delhi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi – Bhopal - By Train – Shatabadi Express
After early breakfast, transfer to the railway station to board your train for Bhopal.  On arrival Bhopal you are met and assisted at railway station and transferred to your pre booked hotel.  Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Bhopal
After breakfast, day return excursion to Sanchi and Udaigiri caves.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Bhopal – Agra (By Train)
In the morning free for individual activities
After lunch, transfer to railway station to board the train for Agra
On arrival Agra you will be met by our executive and transfer to pre booked hotel

Day 05 : Agra – Lucknow (By Train)
After breakfast, visit the city of Taj – Agra fort, Taj Mahal, Itmad-Ud-Dulllah.  After Lunch excursion to Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbars abandoned city.  Visit the Fort and Palace courtyard, halls ornated with mosaic and glass mirrors.
After dinner, transfer to railway station to board train for Lucknow.

Day 06 : Arrive Lucknow
On arrival in Lucknow you are met and assisted with your baggage at the Lucknow railway station and transferred to your pre booked hotel.
In the afternoon, city tour of Lucknow.  Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Lucknow – Balrampur (208 Kms – 05 Hours)
After breakfast leave for Balrampur.  O n arrivals in Balrampur check in at your pre booked hotel.  After lunch excursion to Shravasti.

Day 08 : Balrampur – Lumbini (271 Kms – 06 Hours)
After breakfast, leave for Lumbini.  On arrival in Lumbini check in at your pre booked hotel. After lunch Visit Lumbini. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 09 : Lumbini – Gorakhpur (108 Kms – 3 Hours)
After breakfast, leave for Gorakhpur, on arrival Gorakhpur check in at your pre booked hotel.  After lunch excursion to Kushinagar 55 Kms east of Gorakhpur.  Overnight at hotel. Day 10 : Gorakhpur – Varanasi (215 Kms – 06 Hours)
After breakfast leave for Varanasi, on arrival in Varanasi check in at your pre booked hotel.  After lunch visit the eternal city of Varanasi.  One of the most pilgrimages cites in India, situated on the banks of sacred river Ganges.  Visit the Golden temples, Aurangzeb’s Mosque, Bharat Mata temple.

Day 11 : Varanasi
Day for city tour. Overnight at hotel

Day 12 : Varanasi – Bodhgaya (243 Kms – 06 Hours)}
After breakfast, leave for Bodhgaya.  On arrival in Bodhgaya check in at your pre booked hotel.
After lunch visit the Place where Buddhism, one of the great religions of the world, was born.  Visit the Mahabodhi temple. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13 : Bodhgaya
Excursion to Gaya – 13 Kms. From Bodhgaya, Gaya has been a major pilgrimage center – as sacred to Hindus as Bodhgaya is to Buddhists, visit the Vishnav Pad temple – erected over a 40 cm long footprint of Vishnav, the Surya temple dedicated to Sun God. 
Overnight at hotel.

Day 14 : Bodhgaya – Patna
After breakfast, leave for Patna, Enroute visit Rajgir and Nalanda. On arrival in Patna check in at your pre booked hotel.

Day 15 : Patna – Kolkatta by air
After breakfast city tour of Patna.  Visit the Golghar – a huge beehive shaped building was constructed in 1786 as a granary to store surplus against possible famines,  etc. Later
Transfer to airport for flight to Kolkatta, on arrival Kolkatta airport you are met by our executive and transfer to pre booked hotel.  
Day 16 : Kolkatta – Departure
After breakfast, city tour of Kolkatta.
In the afternoon, transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination
