Golf Courses in North India -
From the wondrous peaks of the majestic Himalayas to the sandy deserts of Rajasthan to the Indo-Gangetic plains of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, from skiing to trekking and from shopping to pampering cuisines the northern region of India offers endless beauties and varieties to the inhabitants as well as to those who register a visit to the place. In the north India region there are a number of activities and sports that are enjoyed. One such sport is Golf.

Agra Golf Club – This is a nine-holes course where some of the holes offer a spectacular view of the great mausoleum Taj Mahal.

Chandigarh Golf Club – This club was founded in 1966 and is an 18 holes course. It is opened all round the year. The Chandigarh Golf Club is also called as the Cradle Of Indian golf. Chiranjeev Milkha Singh was the star born from this very Chandigarh Golf Club. He was the first Indian to qualify for the European and Japanese PGA Tours.

Delhi Golf Club – The Delhi Golf Club was founded in 1931 by the British and is the oldest golf club in Delhi. It is an 18 holes course. The Golf Club offers a spectacular backdrop of great monuments of Delhi.

Classic Golf Resort, Gurgaon – This golf resort is located on the outskirts of Delhi. The golf resort is a fine blend of International experience and Indian expertise. This golf resort is also a perfect venue for all the world class championships. It offers a facility of two courses – an 18 hole championship course and a 9 hole Canyon course.

The DLF Golf & Country Resort, Gurgaon – This golf course is located at the foothills of the Aravali range. The course is located amidst the beautiful surroundings and offers immense pleasure to the golfers. The club was founded in the year 2001 and is open all round the year. It is an 18 hole golf course.

Golden Greens Golf & Country Club, Gurgaon – This golf club has 18 holes and was designed by Dr. Martin Hawtree. The green cool grasses and beautiful backdrops add excitement and energy in all the golf players.

Jaypee Greens Golf Resort Noida – Designed by Greg Norman, the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort is a 18-hole course located in Greater Noida. It is certainly the longest course in India and one of the longest in Asia.

Noida Golf Club – Located in Noida, this is a 18-hole golf course founded in 1989. This golf club is opened all round the year and boasts of historical monuments of the British era.

The Rambagh Palace & Golf Club – The Rambagh Palace & Golf Club is located in the picturesque city of Jodhpur. This is an eighteen hole courses spread over rugged/uneven terrain.

Shimla Golf Club – This golf club located in Shimla was founded in the year 1920. It remains open from April-November very much depending on the weather conditions. It also provides additional facilities like restaurant & catering and horse riding.

Gulmarg Golf Club – The Gulmarg Golf Club is no doubt the hot favourite for most of the inbound and outbound golfers. Founded in 1891 the golf club is covered with a variety of alpine flowers. The club was redesigned by famous golf architect, Peter Thompson.



Golf Courses in Southern India
The southern region of India encompasses three main states, namely Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Surrounded by water on three sides the south India region is the hub of all that makes India special in the tourism Industry. Be it the Carnatic music, Bharatnatyam dance, Kanchpuram sarees or Tanjore paintings, for all tourists think only of south India. Eagleton -The Golf Village – This golf village is spread over 500 acres of land and was designed by Pacific Coast Designs Australia. Eagleton is a 18 hole golf club and offers everything that a golfer wants.

Bangalore Golf Club – This golf club was founded in the year 1876 and was redesigned by Peter Thompson. It is the second oldest golf club in India. It is a 18 eighteen hole golf course.

The Bolaram Golf Club Hyderabad – Hyderabad is a great tourist destination and the Bolaram Golf Club is no doubt a feather to its cap. It came in to being in 1888. The club is spread over 160 acres of land. It is a 18 hole golf course.

Kodaikanal Golf Club - The Kodaikanal Golf Club was founded in 1895. It is a 18 hole golf course. The golf course is extremely beautiful criss-crossed by streams. The British were the architects of this Golf Club.

Cosmopolitan Club Golf Club, Chennai – The club got built in the year 1873 and was designed by Peter Thompson. The club is opened all round the year and attracts a number of golfers here. The Cosmopolitan is a 18 hole golf course.

KGA (Karnataka Golf Association) Golf courses, Bangalore – Located in Bangalore and designed by Peter Thompson, this Golf Club is very popular amongst the golfers. The Club has been designed to ultimate perfection.

Coimbatore Golf Club – The Coimbatore Golf Club started in the year 1977. The strategic location of the golf club draws many passionate golf players to the land. It has a 18 hole golf course.

Jayachamaraja Wodiyar Golf Club Mysore – The foothills of the Chamundi Hills is the where this Golf Club is located. This club is spread in 110 acres of land. The course was started by Krishnarajaa Wadiyar, the Prince of Mysore in 1905 and was redesigned by Pacific Coast Design Company of Australia.



Golf Courses in Eastern India
The Eastern Zone of India consists of states like Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Manipur. These states are greatly adorned with immense scenic beauty and nature in theses states are at their full bloom. All the mentioned north eastern states are hilly but are very distinct from each other offering varied attractions to the tourists visiting any of the states. The languages, dances, art forms, crafts and other culinary delights make the eastern states a paradise for the visitors and compel them to these lands time and again.


Digboi Golf Club – Digboi is a beautiful place located in the state of Assam. The place is famous for the oil fields. The Digboi Golf Club is a 18 hole golf course and is said to be the best in the entire upper Assam. The Golf Course is the centre of all major golf tournaments. This golf club was fonded in the year 1888. The club is bordered by the famous Deihing forest reserve.

Royal Calcutta Golf Club – This Golf Club is opened all round the year and was established in the year 1829. It is regarded as the oldest golf club in India and is located near the Calcutta Airport. It was in 1911 that the club was offered the title of 'Royal'.

Tollygunge Club, Kolkata – Sir William Cruikshank was founded this Golf Club in 1895. This is a 18-hole golf course and spread in around 100 acres of land. The club boasts of a rich collection of flowering trees and tropical plants which have been brought from distant lands.

Shillong Golf Club – The Shillong Golf Club is one of the major attractions of Shillong. It was in 1898 that golf was introduced in Shillong. This picturesque golf club was introduced in 1924 and is a 18 hole golf course.



Golf Courses in Western India
The western region of India mainly consists of two major coastal cities of Mumbai and Goa. The western region of India is a perfect amalgamation of tradition and modernity. The region has a rich cultural heritage to boast of. Apart from the this great culture the region also has a great architectural and culinary variety to offer to the tourists who come to witness these coastal cities of western India in their full bloom.


Poona Golf Club – Pune is a bustling city in the state of Maharastra and is said to be its cultural capital too. Poona Golf Club is one of the many attractions in the city of Pune. Spread over 94 acres of land the Poona Golf Course is no less than a paradise for the golfers. The club is opened all round the year and is a 18 hole golf course. It is one of the oldest golf courses in India. Apart from this club there are other four golf courses in Pune but only the Poona Golf Course is available to the golfers of India as well as abroad.

Presidency Golf Club, Mumbai - The Presidency Golf Club was founded in the year 1927. This eighteen hole golf course is conveniently located and is a favourite for the golfers. The Golf course is spread over 90 acres of land and was redesigned by Peter Thompson.
